At home with Ali Whittle

Lifestyle blogger Ali Whittle is known for her love of colour, pattern, and layered interiors, a style that celebrates personality, warmth, and bold choices. This season, Ali has brought her playful, maximalist approach to our Como cushion collection, styling Horizon, Sandstone, and Mocha, alongside the Nevis throw in Charcoal, to create a look that’s vibrant, textured, and undeniably inviting.

How would you describe your interior style, and how do the Como cushions complement the look and feel of your home?

My interior style is always evolving and I don’t think I have one specific style I gravitate towards. My aim is to pick pieces I love that are both functional, comfortable and pleasing to my eye. If you’re choosing things you love, they’ll all make sense in the space. I want a home full of pieces I’ve collected over time, that represent my life and the beautiful stories attached to certain moments.

I love colour and am really into interesting colour combinations. I was intentional when I was choosing the Como cushions, making sure the colours would work well together but also in my living room and bedroom where I have certain art/colour schemes already in the mix.

Como is made from 100% linen, loved for its natural texture and relaxed drape — what draws you to linen in your own space?

Comfort is so important to us at home. We also prioritise quality in what we buy. So the Como linen cushions are the best addition as they marry the two together perfectly and will stand the test of time.

Which Como colourways have become your favourites, and how do you like to mix or layer them?

I love blue (Horizon) and chocolate brown (Mocha) together, this combination feels classic but fresh.

When styling cushions, what’s your approach to creating that effortless, inviting feel — whether it’s on the sofa, bed, or a cosy corner?

Sometimes decorating a space, if you do too much it can overwhelm the area, especially when the space is for relaxing and rest – aka the bedroom or living room. It’s about having pieces with character/personality but only including the essential things you actually need. Cosy, soft textures help to make the area feel inviting too.

Home is such a reflection of lifestyle — what does ‘home comfort’ mean to you, and how do you like to unwind in your space?

I’m a real home body. My home is absolutely my happy place. A dream weekend to me is a weekend with no plans – where my husband and I can potter around the house working through a to-do list of home tasks or just relaxing, reading, watching a movie, cooking, spending quality time together. When the house is tidy and we’re relaxing on the couch with our cats snoozing nearby or on our laps and there’s only free time ahead – that’s home comfort! I unwind very easily with a shower, my skincare routine, fresh pyjamas and getting into bed early with my book!
