Alessandre Linear Texture Wool Rugs
Crafted from 100% New Zealand wool, Alessandre is defined by its unique linear texture, created through a structured loop construction that runs with the length of the rug.
The linear direction is the point. Where most textured rugs work in all directions at once, Alessandre's texture reads as a run of fine parallel lines, which draws the eye along a room rather than across it. In a long living space or hallway that lengthens the room; under a bed it settles into a quiet, ordered surface.
The construction is cut and loop, so the surface carries two heights: cut ends that catch light and looped ends that hold shadow. At a 1cm pile height it stays low enough for chairs and doors while still feeling soft underfoot.
New Zealand wool gives it resilience. The crimp in the fibre recovers underfoot rather than matting, and wool's natural resistance to soiling suits a rug that lives in a main room. A durable cotton backing adds stability, and a refined fringe finishes the ends.
Colours are quiet and earthy: clay, dusk, taupe, seasalt, mineral and oakmoss.
